Embedded Software Architect (m/w/d)

As an Embedded Software Architect at Miele, you will collaborate with product and app teams to design the next generation of embedded software for connected coffee machines and range hoods. You will be responsible for defining architecture principles and supporting development teams in making complex architectural decisions.

• Collaborate closely with product, platform, and app teams to design the next generation of device control software.
• Define architecture principles, standards, and governance structures for software scalability and reusability.
• Contribute your expertise in the development of modern embedded software from conception to integration of household appliances.
• Conduct architecture reviews to identify technical risks early and support development teams with complex decisions.
• Develop modular software platforms for the Miele Smart Home ecosystem in collaboration with international teams in Gütersloh and Brașov.

• Several years of experience as a Software Architect, Principal Engineer, or Lead Developer in the embedded or system environment.
• Experience in building scalable and modular software platforms while ensuring technical quality and long-term reusability.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and practical experience with embedded systems such as Bare Metal or Linux.
• Pragmatic application of model-based development, software quality assurance and architectural methods.
