About the Position

Kaav is a leading technology company seeking a Senior Software Developer with 5-7 years of experience to design, develop, and deploy a shared services platform using Node.js, TypeScript, Apollo GraphQL, and MongoDB.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design scalable, secure, and robust software solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring high-quality output
  • Build and optimize back-end services with a focus on performance, reliability, and security, utilizing MongoDB for data storage
  • Engage with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to deploy and manage containerized applications effectively
  • Implement comprehensive testing strategies using Jest to ensure code quality and reduce bugs
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define feature specifications, participate in architectural discussions, and deliver solutions on time
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Monitor application performance using tools like Dynatrace and Mezmo, and implement necessary optimizations
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply them to enhance our software offerings
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing best practices, and supporting their professional development
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows, documentation, and deployment processes to streamline operations and ensure best practices are followed

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in software development
  • bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; master's degree is a plus
  • extensive experience with Node.js and TypeScript
  • solid understanding of GraphQL, particularly Apollo GraphQL
  • proficiency in working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • familiarity with application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Mezmo
  • strong knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest
  • good grasp of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
  • excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • prior experience mentoring junior developers and participating in agile development processes
