About the Position

Kyivstar TV invites an experienced DevOps DBA Engineer to ensure the development of new projects, analyze, optimize, and support existing data storage processes and database management.

Responsibilities

  • Build a cohesive architecture for data storage and movement.
  • Maintain and scale PostgreSQL, MongoDB RS, and ClickHouse.
  • Set up replication, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, and data schemas.
  • Implement standardized Java application integration with databases (JDBC/HikariCP, ORM).
  • Automate all possible processes (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD for migrations).
  • Monitor performance: alerts, postmortems.
  • Ensure data security – from IAM to encryption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as DBA/DevOps DBA in high-load environments.
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL (replication, partitioning, VACUUM, PITR, pooling).
  • Experience with MongoDB RS (replica, indexes, write/read concern).
  • Knowledge of ClickHouse (sharding, replicas, partitions, TTL).
  • Worked with AWS (EC2, S3/Glacier, IAM, KMS) and basic understanding of core principles.
  • Experience integrating Java (JDBC/HikariCP, ORM).
  • Monitoring experience (Prometheus, Grafana, pgBadger, DataDog is a plus).
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • B1+ level of English.
