About the Position
We are looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join a professional team supporting corporate clients worldwide. This role offers opportunities for practical experience and growth as SRE or DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Linux and Windows server environments (production and staging).
- Manage on-premise and cloud servers, ensuring availability, high performance, and cybersecurity.
- Manage cloud users, accounts, and subscriptions (access control, resource organization, cost control).
- Monitor system status, logs, and alerts; respond to incidents and service degradations.
- Perform patch management, updates, and OS security hardening.
- Manage user access, permissions, and basic identity services.
- Execute and regularly verify backup and recovery procedures.
- Participate in monitoring, alerting, and backup operations as part of the SRE/SysOps team.
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure teams on production readiness and resource status.
- Maintain clear operational documentation, runbooks, and standards.
- Participate in incident post-mortems with root cause analysis and action plans.
- Interact with security teams when compliance or security requirements affect operations.
Requirements
- Practical experience administering Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, Debian).
- Practical experience administering Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS — a plus).
- Experience in any technical support processes (professional or personal).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing bases).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking; calm and structured approach under pressure and time constraints.
- English level B2 or higher (written and spoken).
- Responsibility, reliability, and flexibility in work schedule, including possible night shifts.
- Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience supporting production environments with uptime and performance requirements.
- Experience managing on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with containerization or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Basic scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, etc.).
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and runbooks.
