Backend Developer (Remote)

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Backend Engineer to work on a contract, part-time basis. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to meet demanding performance requirements for AI model training infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical needs into robust backend solutions that support AI development workflows.
• Optimize backend systems for reliability, security, and efficiency, ensuring seamless and high-performance user experiences in production environments.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to engineering best practices and security standards.
• Participate actively in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen team technical capabilities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production environments, maintaining system stability and uptime targets.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js, with demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable services.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and data pipelines in production environments.
• Solid understanding of system design principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization for high-load applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and incident response processes.
