Head of Engineering

As Head of Engineering at bol, you will lead a team of approximately 60 engineers and data scientists focused on the Assortment & Pricing domain. Your role involves ensuring engineering excellence, enabling data-driven innovation, and driving technical execution aligned with business outcomes.

• Lead the engineering organisation behind the Assortment & Pricing domain
• Directly manage 4 Engineering Managers and approximately 60 engineers
• Set and communicate the technical vision for Assortment & Pricing
• Own engineering standards and practices
• Cultivate a culture of empowerment, accountability and high performance
• Participate in cross-domain architectural discussions

• Experience in senior engineering leadership
• Proficient in modern architecture and software delivery
• Familiarity with code quality, automated testing, CI/CD
• Strong leadership in developing Engineering Managers
• Understanding of distributed systems and MLOps pipelines
