Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer at bol, you will create a database platform that combines developer autonomy with enterprise controls, empowering over 900 engineers to manage databases efficiently. You will automate the database lifecycle in Google Cloud and work collaboratively to ensure compliance, security, and performance while supporting millions of customer interactions.

• Design, build, and maintain a database provisioning platform in Google Cloud
• Automate lifecycle management: creation, scaling, backup, recovery, retirement
• Embed compliance, security, IAM, and backup policies by design
• Monitor and optimize platform performance, availability, and costs
• Enable smooth onboarding and optimal usage by engineering teams
• Troubleshoot production issues with surgical precision
• Contribute to the platform strategy and future architecture decisions

• 3+ years of cloud platform experience (preferably GCP)
• Extensive database infrastructure knowledge
• Terraform skills
• Kubernetes skills
• Python skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with AI/ML in data operations and/or Kubernetes Config Connector
