Cloud & Infrastructure engineer

As a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer at Simac, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing modern IT infrastructures for clients. You will ensure that these are secure, stable, scalable, and future-proof, utilizing technologies such as Linux, Windows, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.

• Implementing, configuring, and managing cloud, hybrid, and on-premise infrastructures
• Migrating workloads, applications, and services to modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Automating management and deployment processes using scripting and infrastructure-as-code
• Monitoring the performance, availability, and security of IT environments and implementing improvements
• Resolving complex technical incidents and acting as a technical escalation point
• Participating in projects for new implementations, migrations, upgrades, and optimization trajectories
• Creating technical documentation and ensuring proper handover to management
• Supporting colleagues with technical knowledge and actively contributing to knowledge sharing within the team
• Advising on technical improvements and thinking about innovative solutions within customer environments
• Contributing to standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of services

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, System Engineer, or a similar role
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud solutions
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of networking, storage, security, and identity management
• Experience with automation and scripting, for example, with PowerShell
• Experience with implementing and managing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/Oracle), backup solutions (Veeam/Carbonite), and IAM solutions is a plus
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certifications are a plus
