Web-developer (junior)

Playonic is looking for a junior web developer to support and refine existing WordPress themes, configure the admin panel of WordPress confidently, and develop custom blocks and small plugins as needed. Responsibilities include page layout, site speed optimization, and basic server tasks.

• Support and refine existing WordPress themes.
• Configure and work confidently with the WordPress admin panel.
• Layout pages and sections.
• Create and refine custom blocks (ACF/Gutenberg).
• Develop small plugins for project tasks.
• Work with Git (branches, pull requests, code review).
• Optimize website speed (Google PageSpeed/Core Web Vitals).
• Handle basic hosting/server tasks: deployment, access, logs, basic diagnostics.

• 1-2 years of commercial WordPress development experience.
• Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Understanding of WordPress theme structure, hooks/filters.
• Experience with ACF, custom post types, and custom fields.
• Performance optimization skills (cache, images, CSS/JS).
• Ability to work with hosting/server (FTP/SSH, domains, SSL, databases, cron).
• Ability to work with specifications and meet deadlines.
